Il torrente Pagliara ridotto a pattumiera
Furci Siculo – Buona parte dell’alveo del torrente Pagliara ( che scorre tra i comuni di Furci e Roccalumera) è stato ridotto a discarica abusiva. Sia alla sinistra e che alla destra del letto del torrente si possono vedere ammassi di rifiuti, copertoni sfilacciati, divani rotti, elettrodomestici arrugginiti, sedie sgangherate, cartoni, materiale inerte ed altro ancora. Oltre all’aspetto indecoroso, questi rifiuti emanano una puzza indescrivibile e sono rifugio di insetti e topi. Il problema non è solo del torrente Pagliara, ma è generalizzato anche al Fiumedinisi (tra Alì Terme e Nizza), al torrente Savoca (tra Furci e S.Teresa di Riva) e all’Agrò che scorre tra S.Alessio e S.Teresa. Un problema serio, non si discute. Anche perché queste montagne di rifiuti sparsi lungo gli alvei potrebbero condizionare il percorso dei torrenti in piena, anche perché con l’inverno alle porte sono previste abbondanti piogge. Sarebbe opportuno che l’ufficio tecnico della Provincia regionale di Messina si attivasse, come è stato fatto qualche anno addietro, per una ramazzata generale degli alvei dei torrenti compresi tra capo Alì e Capo S.Alessio. Ma è un lavoro che va fatto adesso, perché con le piogge potrebbero sorgere seri problemi. L’assessore provinciale ai lavori pubblici dott. Lino Monea (tra l’altro della zona jonica, in quanto abita a Francavilla di Sicilia) conosce bene la zona, per cui potrebbe varare un progetto di massima per far togliere le montagne di rifiuti sparsi lungo i torrenti Fiumedinisi, Pagliara, Savoca e Agrò.
